Environmental Justice Subcommittee

The Environmental Justice Subcommittee collaborates with Fossil Free Rhode Island and coordinates rallies, forums, and demonstrations to oppose the Keystone Pipeline, the proposed electric plant in Burrillville, RI and climate change, working closely with Nature’s Trust, RI.   It also spearheads UUCSC’s effort to maintain its Green Sanctuary certification from the Unitarian Universalist Association and educates the congregation on how to get involved in local environmental action.

For recent activities of the Environmental Justice Subcommittee, see the Social Justice Annual Report.

The Environmental Justice Committee meets on an as needed basis.
